What a fast, furious & fabulous Christmas we enjoyed as a new family of five--it ended in the flu, but the flurry up to that point was memorable.

I posted a few photos regaling Katie's school program, Brad's birthday celebration, visit to Children's Museum, playing with cousins, candy eating, cookie craving and runny noses.

With the culmination of the flu, unfortunately documentation of our trip to Southern Minnesota to celebrate with the Blomgren's was not well photographed, but thanks to big brother Kurt and Mom & Dad for your work in making a warm celebration on the 26th!

Christmas Concert

Here is Anders playing "It Came Upon A Midnight Clear" under the watchful eye of his piano teacher, Lara Simonson

Katie is in the center of the screen as an angel. Her line was "Jesus was born this day in tiny Bethlehem. A small town, but what a gem". Very good job Ms. Katie!

Here is Anders singing the 2nd verse of Silent Night as a solo. He also played a shepard and nailed his line about finding Jesus laying in a manger filled with hay. great memories.

the last beautiful day...

November 7--the afternoon after the daylight saving time expiration was a golden day for the Olson family. The Vikings won one of their few games of the 2010 season and we were captured by Ms. Lori Johnson near the banks of the Kinnickinnick River and campus of UW River Falls.

The boys

Anders, Osten and I went for a photo session back in August to capture photos of Mom and sons. I can't get over how much both Osten and Anders have grown since then...crazy.

A story for Osten's baby book from his daytime Momma, Sheri

A little background on this message...Katie started calling me milktruck about a month ago and it has been a running joke between Sheri and I. Also a little on the photos. Osten has a good buddy named Lucas who also spends his days at Sheri's.
Here's the story that will go in his baby book:
Once upon a time there was a milk truck. It was a very special milk truck because it belonged to a little boy who loved it very much. This milk truck was very special, because anytime the little boy longed for his milk truck it came. And every time the milk truck heard the call, it came quickly to the little boy, all the little boy would have to say is NIgh-Nigh Nigh. And so the little boy began to call Nigh nigh nigh, and the milk truck came right away...The end.

Milestones

Anders brought a fun project home from school this week. It's called milestones. With this project, he has been asked to make a timeline of his life, share photos and include at least three milestones per year of his life.

It was great fun to bring out the photo albums, select photos and now I'm in the process of scanning them. Shutterfly was very helpful with storing photos electronically for years 5-9, but this gives me the opportunity to capture some old school photos electronically.

Today was a fun day at school and home. Our class has been communicating with a class grandparent who drives a semi truck named trucker Bob....
