the Door county adventure

I was graciously dismissed from work at noon on Thursday and our family packed up and headed east to Door County.  What a fun adventure!  We arrived at our campground at about 6:30, set up the camper and were treated to a wonderful meal courtesy of Ibby and Betty.  We then visited and enjoyed the company of family for a couple of hours before we headed to bed.  Jennifer Knier and I did get a round of scrabble in before bed.

The highlights/some stats from the weekend:

A caught a trout
K caught a salmon
Brad was skunked in fishing
Whitefish Dunes was visited once by Brad, K, O and myself from our family
The swimming pool at Tranquil Timbers was frequented by our family on numerous occasions
The arcade was O's favorite hangout
Many bouncy balls and tattoos were purchased by Olson, Quintana or Knier children throughout the weekend
Each family unit was in charge of sharing meal preparation for one evening meal--Jennifer and I prepared chicken, steak, pasta, rice and various fruits and veggies for people to choose a flavor combination they would enjoy.
We found a great toystore/ice cream parlor downtown...YUM and FUN!
Sonny's Pizza was our final spot to dine in Door County

We arrived home in River Falls at about 7:30 on Sunday evening.  It was a whirlwind, but an extremely enjoyable one!
